Medway Pain Center is an independent, physician-led pain management practice serving patients throughout El Paso and the surrounding region. Led by Dr. Tochi Umunakwe, a fellowship-trained, double board-certified interventional pain management physician, our practice focuses on identifying the source of chronic pain and developing individualized treatment plans that help patients regain function and improve quality of life.

We evaluate and treat a wide range of painful conditions affecting the spine, joints, nerves and muscles, including neck pain, back pain, sciatica, neuropathy, arthritis, spinal stenosis, CRPS, post-surgical pain, cancer-related pain and other complex chronic pain conditions. When appropriate, we offer minimally invasive image-guided procedures designed to reduce pain while helping patients avoid unnecessary surgery.

Our advanced services include epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures, joint injections, nerve blocks, trigger point injections and other evidence-based interventional treatments. We also provide specialized care for patients experiencing pain related to cancer and cancer treatment.

With two convenient El Paso locations, Medway Pain Center is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with shorter wait times, modern treatment options and close collaboration with referring physicians. We proudly serve civilians, active-duty military, veterans and patients from throughout West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
